Summer So Far

Ever since I graduated it seems like we have spent every weekend down in SLC for different family activities. For Memorial Weekend we decided to stay at home and spend the weekend by ourselves. Job hunting has also proven pretty difficult, there are not a whole lot of jobs out there but the hard part is that I have to be picky because I need a job that won't require standing for the full time or heavy lifting since my ankle is still healing and strengthening. With all this time Paul and I have been able to spend a lot of time together and love it. My favorites have been Sundays. This last school year we both worked really hard to not do homework on Sundays and take the day for ourselves. Since school has been out Sundays have been even better, we don't have the stress of homework due on Monday. The weather has been great that we have been BBQing a lot.

Things That Make Us Cry

The other day Paul was looking at YouTubes top 100 video's. There were two video's inparticular that really got to us.

Paul thought the reaction of the mom panda was so funny. He was laughing so hard that he started crying.

Like I have said before, my emotions have been a bit out of control lately so this one really got to me.

We hope you enjoy!

Earlier in the year we were told that our rent would raise starting with April. Since we know we will be here for a while yet we decided to sign another contract to keep our rent from going up too much. After we did the math it was still cheaper to stay in our place instead of finding a new one and needing to pay for a new deposit. During the end of the semester there was not a whole lot of time for large meals or the time to do tons of dishes. During the last while that we have been here without a contract I haven't wanted to call in anything unless I really needed to incase it would remind the landlords that we are here paying such a low rent compared to everyone. Now that we are in a new contract and they cannot raise the rent on us, believe that we are calling in on everything. To do my part to help out with the dishes I finally called in and told Coldwell that our dishwasher has never worked, it just heats up the food and dries is onto the dishes, so we would like to get it checked out. The short end of it is we did not get the old one fixed, we got a new one.

It took us about a week to finally use enough dishes to fill it up and make it worth running. It worked so great. One night I turned it on to let it run. In the morning after breakfast Paul put our dishes in and turned it on again, so the dishes were washed twice. Once while we were over at my brother and sister-in-laws house I saw what they had on their dishwasher to keep them from washing the dishes twice or putting dirty dishes in on top of clean ones. To help us from repeating the same problem I decided to make my own version.

I have decided to sell them too, I made a bunch while I was making the one for use, so if you would like one I am selling them for $7. I'm also going to make the magnets to go with them and can let you know about the price for those if you want them too.

I'll let you know about the prices for the magnets when I get them done.

One of the goals I have for this summer, now that I am done with school, is to become more organized. I have so much STUFF that I had at the school and now need to find a place for it at home. Our place could also use some help. During the last semester with finals, graduation, and my senior project I kind of let our place go a bit. To get started I made a something for the bathroom counter to help clean it up. Let me know what you think. It is really simple but will do the job for now.
